Pass Plus is a training scheme aimed at new drivers. Its more than just a few more lessons. This specially designed course by the driving standards agency (DSA), with the aid of insurers and the driving instruction industry, helps new drivers:

Gain valuable driving experience safely

You will be taught to deal with a wide range of road and traffic situations, some of which you may not have experienced while you were learning i.e Motorways.

Build on your existing skills and knowledge

It will take years and plenty of practice to become a skilled driver. PASS PLUS helps build on your skills over a structured course of six hours under expert tuition.

Reduce your chances of having a collision

The course will help boost your awareness and planning of all kinds of hazards and help you to anticipate, plan for and deal with them safely.

Improve your confidence

You will feel nervous when driving on your own for the first time, and will certainly be more vulnerable on today's busy and demanding roads. PASS PLUS training can help you become more confident on the roads.

Save you money on your car insurance

When you have successfully completed the course you will receive a certificate. Many insurance companies recognise PASS PLUS and will give discounts to those who have gained this certificate.

The amount you save will depend on the company you choose and how much your premium is but you may even save more than you paid for the course.

Pass Plus consists of six practical modules which cover driving in town, in all weathers, on rural roads, at night, on dual carriageways and motorways. You can take it any time within the first 12 months of passing your driving test. There is no test at the end of it, so there is no more exam nerves to go through!!
